Million Air has acquired the former Jacksonville Jet Center at Cecil Spaceport (KVQQ) in April of this year and has been going through a soft transition. The former Naval Air Station Master Jet Base, is rapidly becoming the area’s favorite airport due to lowest costs, longest runways, and the best service.

Several puppies made the cross-country trip to Million Air Austin to be delivered to their new home to start the training journey with Canine Companions. Canine Companions provides service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities and facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice, and educational settings.

Million Air’s donations for Houston Food Bank’s “Back 2 School Fest” packed over 2,000 backpacks full of school supplies! The 13 pallets worth of backpacks were donated at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. In total, the event packed 60 pallets worth of over 9,000 backpacks- 20 pallets more than the goal. Million Air also donated a total of 214 pounds of food!! That is equal to 200 meals that helped feed the Houston area.

Million Air San Juan was the main touch point getting resources on and families off the island. In addition to staying open 24/7, the Million Air team opened up a second fuel operation at Roosevelt Roads Airport (TJRV) in Ceiba to support the Army and Air Force relief operations. We took the airport fuel inventory 5,000 gal to 59,000 gal overnight.

The Houston area was in the battle zone of heavy rains and severe flooding as Southeast Texas was devastated from Hurricane Harvey. Although officially closed through NOTAMs, Million Air stayed open 24/7 servicing special operations and relief aircraft operating lifesaving rescue missions and extracting stranded families.
